Run in the Sun offer Running Event's on the Costa Blanca, Spain. Our running event's range from the I Mile race set in the picturesque town of Moraira on one of Europe's most beautiful warm Mediterranean coastlines, to the ½ marathon event, many of which are held during the Spanish fiestas, throughout the year. So whether your running at 2:09 pace or your a beginner, select a running event from our race weekends below.  Don't want to race, then try one of our running and training breaks and improve your PB. A quick flight from the UK and you could escape the cold and wet and enjoy some warm weather training for runners in Spain

The coaching

We have a mix of Spanish and English professional coaches who have been working with Run In The Sun, we will also offer a sports massage for those aching muscles. So if your training for a marathon or a 10k, we can help you improve your PB. With runners of all ability, there will always be someone to run with.

Where are we ? Moraira, Costa Blanca, Spain

Moraira is a small, Spanish port town on the Costa Blanca coast, half-way between Alicante and Valencia.

Moraira is set at the end of a small valley, and enjoys an enviable position between the cultivated muscatel grape vines and the L'Ampolla beach, the largest blue flag beach in the area.

The town has grown from a small fishing village to a very attractive and charming holiday and retirement resort, attracting visitors from all over. Moraira has an impressive marina, an excellent variety of local shops, weekly open markets, and many restaurants and bars still retain their Spanish character.

Accommodation

We offer hosted traditional Spanish villa accommodation, with a healthy runner's breakfast included. Most villas have private swimming pools and are within walking distance of the local beach and restaurants. We also have a number of apartments overlooking the track, within walking distance of both the track and beach.

Athletics warm weather training

We offer Athletics warm weather training and race weekends in the sun. Our training and weekend races for 2007 are listed below. We only have dates up to June, more dates are being added on a weekly basis.

Running gallery - Previous events

Most weekends between April and December there are races held, in our local towns and villages, these vary in length, between 5k and 13k.  All running event's have age categories, free T shirts and trophies for the winners. Whilst in the UK  you may pay for your race, all races are free, for Run in the Sun guests, whether you come for a race weekend or a running week holiday.
